Handmade Pasta Class: Authentic Italian Pasta Al Mattarello (Rolling Pin) Experience
Making fresh handmade pasta is one of the oldest traditions of our region, passed from mother to daughter through patient gestures and lots of love.
In this class, we guide you through the authentic techniques of “pasta fatta a mano – hands-on pasta”, just as we learned in our family kitchen, and later refined through years of hands-on experience in a fresh-pasta laboratory in Bologna.
Step by step, we cook, taste, and enjoy everything together, just like in our family kitchen here in the Food Valley.
What We’ll Make Together
Together, the pasta dough is prepared, rolled with the traditional mattarello, and shaped into Emilia’s classic pasta styles, showing how flour, fresh eggs, and skilled hands combine to create something exceptional, guided by Italian tradition and artisan dedication.

- SCHEDULE: Daily sessions at: 10:30am – 2:30pm or 4:30pm – 8:30pm, flexible
- The class lasts around 3–4 hours, depending on the number of participants, to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable experience for everyone.
- We’re in the countryside, just a few kilometers from Bologna and Modena. The exact location may change, but it will always be in this area.
